Investment advisory firm to take up space in former Ruby Farmhouse
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Voit & Company, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm, will lease the newly renovated Ruby Farmhouse at The Corridor.
Building occupancy is expected to occur by October, said Todd Voit, the firm’s owner and portfolio manager. Voit & Company manages $200 million of investment portfolios on behalf of individual and institutional clients. The firm invests in individual stocks and bonds, and also manages three private funds. Many of the firm’s client accounts are held at Charles Schwab & Co., another Irgens tenant in The Corridor.
The firm’s current location is in an office park located at 235 N. Executive Drive in Brookfield. The new space offers a different look and feel that Voit expects clients to connect with more readily.
“It’s a unique spot,” Voit said. “The history of the building and property make it more of a non-traditional work place. Irgens did a great job with having the building renovated while maintaining its historic look.”
Voit & Company’s employees will have access to an adjacent 15-space parking lot. Voit said the building’s interior will feature pictures of Ruby Farm’s historic past, which dates back to the 1860s.
“We want to make a connection with the property’s history and honor that in a unique way,” Voit said.
Irgens contracted with Ruvin Bros. Artisans & Trades Inc. to have the building’s exterior renovated over the past year. The neighboring Ruby Barn has been renovated with a new roof and foundation along with repairs made to its exterior siding.
The Corridor is a 66-acre, mixed-use development on Bluemound Road in Brookfield featuring 140,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space along with more than 400,000 square feet of contemporary Class A office space. Current occupants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Portillo’s Hot Dogs, AT&T and Charles Schwab & Co. ProHealth Medical Group will occupy a new building at The Corridor in March 2018 and Associated Bank will be opening a new branch at The Corridor late this summer or early fall.
