Irgens strategically acquired land in the center of greater Milwaukee’s suburban office market with knowledge of its pent-up demand. Businesses located there were thriving and Irgens met demand through the Meadowland Research & Technology Center.
Meadowland was designed, constructed and branded on an 8-acre site to attract and retain technology, research and development and complimentary professional service companies that recognize the importance of energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable buildings. The four-level, multi-tenant, Class A office building, with adjacent structured parking, compliments the scenic, park-like environment in the 175-acre Milwaukee County Research Park and features a flexible space plan allowing for increased density and market-differentiated amenities.
The project has been recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED Silver certified for achieving standards of environmentally sound practices. The LEED designation, along with its green features, help to further differentiate the building and enhance its overall market value. Irgens worked closely with the local municipality in recognition of the desire to maximize the density on one of the last remaining sites in the park. This resulted in obtaining tax increment financing allowing for structured parking and an expanded building footprint.
