Irgens was engaged by long-term client Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (“CHW”) to perform an extensive site search analysis when the hospital began contemplating the addition of a multi-specialty and diagnostic clinic location as a community extension of its main hospital campus. Irgens, already working on a new outpatient care center in a rapidly growing area for a non-competing health provider, identified an opportunity for the two systems to collaborate and establish a destination campus for ambulatory care in this key target area.

After successfully brokering an agreement between the two parties, Irgens assembled a team to design and construct a three-story, 74,600 square foot pediatric and specialty outpatient clinic for CHW in the 34-acre medical office park. Irgens navigated complex city and neighborhood negotiations, performed due diligence on the land that including environmentally sensitive issues, closed on the land and broke ground, all within seven months of finalizing the deal.

The facility offers a variety of pediatric and specialty care outpatient clinics, a four-room pediatric sleep lab, pediatric diagnostic imaging center and physician and administrative offices.
